Re-Elect Kirklyn Dixon District 6 Board of Commissioners
Kirklyn Dixon, Republican candidate for re-election, brings a diverse background and strong community ties to his campaign. Married to Denise, a former member of the Monroe city council, Kirklyn has built a solid foundation for his career. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree and Troy State University with an MBA, Kirklyn has leveraged his education to become a successful small business owner. He owns and operates Window Genie of East Atlanta, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.
His commitment to public service is evident through his past roles, including serving as a member of the Walton County Board of Education for 12 years prior to taking his current seat on the Walton County Board of Commissioners. Kirklyn's dedication extends beyond the political arena; he has actively contributed to various organizations, including serving on the boards of the American Red Cross, YMCA, ACTION, Inc. and the Walton County Chamber of Commerce. Moreover, his marriage to Denise reflects his deep-rooted connections within the community. As a graduate of the Leadership Walton Class of 2016-2017, Kirklyn Dixon is well-prepared to represent his constituents with integrity and leadership. He is a man of faith, serving as an elder at Grace Monroe Church and working with Kidzlife on Wednesday nights.
Kirklyn believes in servant leadership and approaches the role of commissioner through the lens of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he said “If you want to be important-wonderful. If you want to be recognized-wonderful. If you want to be great-wonderful. But recognize that he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. That is the new definition of greatness.”
Every decision I have made and every vote I have
cast has been with the best interests of the citizens
of District 6 and Walton County in mind.
